Art in Bloom at the Milwaukee Art Museum is always a fun-filled weekend. But the highlight is invariably the fashion show. Florists outfit runway models in creations made entirely of materials one would use in a floral arrangement. The creativity is off the charts and the results are stunning. We got to spend some time behind the scenes documenting the sometimes surreal scene. Further down in this post you will see the final results at the runway show. But, first, enjoy this peek at the magic.

As the guests arrived, there was definitely a theme to the ensembles they put together.
The judges prepared for the contestants to make their appearance.
When the models started their runway routine, everyone was rapt. There was an audible gasp when each new model made their appearance.
We were very excited when they started announcing the winners and we heard our friends names! Bank of Flowers, pictured above took third place. Belle Fiori (pictured below) took second place. And the grand prize went too…..
…Red Petal! We could not have been happier for our friends, but also want to acknowledge the amazing job each florist did for this event.
