Milwaukee Commercial Photographer: War Memorial Impressions!
One of our favorite venues in town, War Memorial, just got a fantastic facelift and invited us down to check it out! The location of this space, right on the lake connected to Milwaukee Art Museum, has always been stunning. It had been awhile since the interior had been updated so this development has been very exciting for everyone associated with War Memorial.
We had so much fun taking a moment out of a normal day of phone calls and meetings to let the newness of this space wash over us and making our artistic impressions of this eclectic combo of lines and dots, wood and metal, light and shadow. It was a unique opportunity to shoot a room for the sake of bring out the beauty of the room. Most of the time it’s about how the room frames the flowers, table settings, people and dancing. This was an opportunity to make art of the room itself and it was a refreshing exercise for us. And we had plenty of raw material to work with! And it’s always great to see Jennifer when we visit. She is a great host and now she has a new improvement to her home that she is thrilled to show off!
“Memorial Hall is such a special place in this building; while the building itself is a testament and memorial to all of those who have given their lives for our freedom, the hall is the place where we are able to celebrate those lives that we have been afforded from those sacrifices. We are so happy to bring back to life such an important part of this building. We cannot wait for your next celebration in our space,” said Jennifer.
