When a school day includes a trip to the Milwaukee Art Museum, that’s a good day. The same applies to a work day! MAM hosts different school groups most weeks of the school year. Every couple months we get to tag along to document the experience. But there is a bonus for us: we get to vicariously experience the thrill of discovery through these kids eyes. Of course, there’s a bit of horsing around, too, but that brings back other fun memories.
The Milwaukee Art Museum does so much to support our communities and our students. These kids get to discover and create. They also are learning what a taste of freedom is like. There is autonomy in this space to explore.
